1. Masochism, Round 3

    As of two weeks ago, I am officially back in the training game: I’ll be running my third long-distance race, and my 2nd iteration of the Boston Half. Here are the goals:

    1. One (1) painless half marathon.

    2. 1:59:59.

    With my creaky knees, the question, of course, is this: can it be done? I’m cautiously optimistic, but with my newfound weekly yoga routine (I think I’m in love), I’m in a better position than last year. And I’m about to (sigh) return to school, where I can flex my running schedule far more easily than I can now.

    So far, the work has been slow, but I did a solid (albeit hot and sweaty and parched) 5 miles on Sunday, starting me off with a weekly total of 14 miles.

    Here’s to making that total crawl up to 25!
